Stephen began flying gliders near his hometown in Pennsylvania when he was 16 years old. Shortly after receiving his glider certificate at age 17, he moved into powered aircraft, helicopters and has since become a Certified Flight Instructor. He caught the warbird and aerobatic bug at a young age and has been flying aerobatics for the past fourteen years.
Stephen attended Daniel Webster College, where he earned a B.S. degree in Aviation Management. After graduating college, he began his professional flying career by towing banners on the east coast, before becoming a professional flight instructor. Stephen also is a competitive aerobatic pilot and regular WINGS presenter. He has experience in more than 60 types of aircraft including; many Piper and Cessna aircraft as well as, J-3 Cub, A36 Bonanza, Great Lakes, Skybolt, PT-17 Stearman, Extras, MXS/MX2, Super Decathlon, T-6/SNJ, Gamebird GB1, R22, R44, SR-20 and more.
