Keystone Aerosports was founded in 2012 by Stephen Fiegel to help to encourage safe, proficient, and confident aviators who are passionate about aviation and "stick-and-rudder" flying. We offer a variety of aviation services. Our training programs include: aircraft type specific training, precision aerobatics, upset recovery & prevention, spin endorsements, tailwheel endorsements, and refresher courses. In addition to our training programs, we provide aircraft reposition/ferry services, photo flight support, and more.
Our mission is to encourage high standards in flight and a culture of continuous learning among our clients. We promote professional-level piloting skills and knowledge, while still keeping training fun.
Stephen Fiegel
Owner & Instructor
Stephen Fiegel has been flying for over seventeen years, and has been specializing in aerobatic, warbird and tailwheel instruction for a decade. He began his aviation journey at a young age, eventually earning a Bachelors degree in aviation management. Along the way, he amassed a wide variety of aviation experience, to include flying gliders, helicopters, towing banners, warbird instruction, and aerobatic competition. Stephen draws on his diverse range of flight experience to help clients achieve their goals. Stephen has extensive experience in the Extra 300/330 series, T6/SNJ, Gamebird GB1 and Decathlon/Citabria series, as well as a variety of other aerobatic & tailwheel types.
Stephen has earned the Master Certified Flight Instructor - Aerobatic designation. The Master Instructor designation is a national accreditation recognized by the FAA. Designees are recognized as outstanding aviation educators not only for their excellence in teaching, but for their engagement in the continuous process of learning -- both their own, and their students'.
He has worked closely with some of the top names in the aviation industry including airshow greats Rob Holland, Mike Goulian, Sean Tucker and Kevin Coleman.
